Up Against the Wall, Fred!

Gee, it's nice to know that someone who understands the youth of today is willing to take a daring stand on behalf of the values of the Sixties (for money).  Witness, therefore, Lenny Kravitz shilling for Kohl's and Levi's in the name of Love - specifically, in the name of a Love Revolution.  I haven't been this... moved  by a commercial since Nike used the Beatles' "Revolution" to - well, to sell shit, n'est-ce pas?   What's next, "Street Fighting Man"?  (Speaking of which, have you seen this mash-up?)

Apparently, advertisers are drawn to the word "revolution", which tends to make the concept more appealing to me, as well - so, I suppose, advertising works.

Oh, and by way of a palate-cleanser:

Here are two diverting responses to the above:  the inevitable mash-up, and an equally inevitable update.  (Yes, I am aware of the irony.  Shut up.)

I already used up the Carl Panzram quote, so I'm a bit at a loss for words.  Well, as Robert Zimmerman said, "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the winds blows."  Therefore, this posting brought to you by our fine sponsors, Uncle Chunk's Syrup of Ipecac, and their lovable mascot, Hurly the Clown, who remind you to brush your teeth daily, and please, Kill Whitey.

On one hand, even after losing most faith in humanity, this lack of integrity on the part of particular people still disappoints. On the other hand, what did you expect from musicians whose clips are broadcasted on MTV?
